Applied technology studio · One person

What can one person build with new technology?

MetaVie is a one-person applied technology studio. We turn emerging technologies into real products, one experiment at a time.

New technology changes what a small team can build. What happens when the team is one person?

We're less interested in technology as a list of names, and more in the moment a new capability leaves the demo, the paper or the infrastructure layer — and becomes something a person can actually use.

Language models, personal knowledge systems, generative media, computation that runs on the device in your pocket, software agents, automation, new ways of talking to a computer. Each one changes the answer to a single question:

What does this technology allow one person to actually build?

MetaVie exists to find out — by building, shipping and using the answer.

A loop, not a pipeline.

I don't validate ideas with slide decks. I validate them with working software, and I'm the first real user of everything I make.

A prototype tells me whether a technology is worth anything in practice. Using it every day tells me what's actually wrong with it. That's where the next round starts.

This is where Notes from the lab come from. come from.

Products are how we find out.

Each MetaVie product is an experiment with a question behind it. Some are shipping. Some are still in the lab.

OddLab

The Unserious Human Lab

Can self-exploration be made more accessible, visual and genuinely interesting?

OddLab uses Human Design as a lens for observing people. It turns a birth time into a chart, and the chart into a readable, video-first exploration of who you are — on iOS, in your language.

Speak

Personal expression, produced automatically

What if making a video started with thinking, instead of editing?

Speak explores whether a person's own knowledge and way of speaking can be turned into finished video — starting from a conversation rather than a timeline. It is an active experiment in personal knowledge, voice and automated video production.

What I learn while building.

Working notes from a one-person company — the technical decisions, the product judgement calls, and what actually happened. Video first, written when it helps.

    MetaVie is a one-person company.

I use emerging technology to explore how far one person can take an idea — from thought, to software, to a product people can actually use.

That constraint isn't a limitation to apologise for. It's the experiment.
